While some IB students aim to study in national universities, others aspire to study abroad.

IB Diploma Programme students take the final examinations, which are prepared by IB Center, in grade 12 in May and are assessed by IB based on their performance in these examinations.

It is compulsory for students who will get their diploma only in IB-Turkish and Mathematics field to take Biologly and one of the electives. 6 subject groups that are compulsory for students in IB Diploma Programme are compulsory also in National Curriculum.

IB Diploma Programme and National Curriculum are in line with one another in many aspects.

This allows higher number of students to benefit from the IB programme. IB provides students with the opportunity to get certificate for some courses.

IB has Certificate Programme besides Diploma Programme.Therefore, student’s involvement in IB does not cause student to become unsuccessful or to get lower grade point average. All the students are assessed equally based on the criteria set by the Ministry of National Education. A student’s involvement in IB Diploma Programme does not affect his/her grade point average.IBDP students take all the courses that are set out in the National Curriculum for grades 11 and 12.

IBDP students are also expected to complete the requirements of the National Curriculum.
